Summer Update from Amy Fernandez

It sure feels like summer has been in a rush to get here this year. We have had recordbreaking spring temperatures and an early start to the season. With less than a month until our children get out of school, we aren’t going to be able to deny that summer is here for good. I am so excited for the 2012 summer season at the club. We have some very exciting changes this year. First, I’d like to mention that we are working with a new pool management company named Sweetwater Pool Management. They come highly recommended by some of the most exclusive country clubs and large HOA communities in the metro Atlanta area. Their primary focus is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience through their highly trained lifeguards and pool maintenance techs. They believe in integrated training with our staff so you will see us working together practicing emergency plans. Another difference you may notice with the new lifeguards is, they will sit, as well as stand, in their guard chairs. This method of guarding allows better scanning of the pool and ensures the guards are alert and ready to respond. Look for additional information regarding this year’s pool season in our monthly newsletter by clicking here.

For years, many of you have signed your children up for our traditional golf & tennis mini camps. This year we are excited to launch two week-long summer camps that include additional activities. Please contact the Pro Shop at 770-971-7663 for additional information. The club is always a hot spot of activity, especially during the summer months, and we look forward to providing you with great fun and service as you enjoy!

With great pleasure,

Amy L. Fernandez

Chef Gino Returns!

On January 29th, a long time friend of the Indian Hills Country Club family — Chef Gino Noci, from Florence, Italy– will be returning to Atlanta to share his wonderful Tuscan cooking and gregarious friendliness with our members!

It’s hard to believe that his first trip here was in 1995, almost 17 years ago!  Many of our members have, subsequently, visited his restaurant in Florence and now eagerly look forward to his return, each time, to Atlanta. Those of you that remember Gino know that his visits are lively and enjoyable. Those of you that have only heard about Gino are in for a treat.

Please join us for this fabulous family-style dinner at 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 29th. The cost is $56.95 per person with wine and $46.95 without wine. You can make reservations online or by calling the club at 770-971-2605.
